nd Simulation group within the Medicine Design Department at Pfizer.

Job Summary (Job ID: 4814017)

A PK-PD Senior Principal Scientist position is available in the Translation=
al Modeling and Simulation group of the Medicine Design Department to suppo=
rt projects within the Center for Therapeutic Innovation (CTI). CTI is an o=
utward facing research unit that partners with leading academic researchers=
 to translate novel discoveries into therapies that change patient's lives.

The Senior Principal Scientist will apply state-of-the-art modeling methods=
 to preclinical studies to enable key drug discovery decisions from early d=
iscovery stages to the first-in-human study. As a member of global multidis=
ciplinary project teams, you will develop and implement quantitative mechan=
ism-based PK-PD models which impact the quality of decisions regarding targ=
et prioritization, therapeutic modality selection, drug design, biomarker c=
haracterization, and early clinical trial design. You will have the opport=
unity to work with multiple stakeholders outside of the modeling and simula=
tion discipline, including Medicinal Chemistry, Biology, DMPK, Drug Safety,=
 Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, Clinical. Given the global=
 nature of project teams and group members, excellent communication skills,=
 a pro-active approach and independence are essential to be successful in t=
his role.

Education & Training


  * Ph.D. or equivalent degree in systems biology, pharmacometrics, pharm=
aceutical sciences, (bio)engineering, mathematics or similar disciplines wh=
ere modeling and simulation is emphasized is required
  * 6+ years of industrial experience in practical applications of modeli=
ng and simulation, including direct discovery project support
