The BI Pharmacometrics Group in Ridgefield, CT is looking for a talented Ph=
D or MS student from the US to join us as intern over the summer in 2021. T=
he internship can either be done on site in Ridgefield or remotely. This is=

ork on MID3 projects!

Pharmacometrics Summer Intern-2011608
Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern =
to join our Pharmacometrics Group located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. A=
s an Intern, you will you will be assigned to your own pharmacometrics proj=
ect and work under the supervision of an experienced pharmacometrician. The=
 project scope includes but is not limited to performing hands-on pharmacom=
etrics analysis in NONMEM and R based on pre-clinical and clinical pharmaco=
kinetic/pharmacodymanic data and collaborating with other stakeholders in d=
rug development. Ideally, the project results in a poster presentation or p=

Duties & Responsibilities:
*Develop and qualify PK, PKPD and/or disease progression models including d=
ata set preparation and post-processing of software output
*Perform literature research to support model development and qualification
*Present project results and conclusions to Global Pharmacometrics Group an=
d other stakeholders
*Summarize project results and conclusions in internal report and/or extern=
al poster/publication

Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academi=
c standing.
Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other rel=
ated coursework.
Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.00=
0 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
Major must be related to the field of internship.

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
*Hands-on experience in pharmacometrics software packages (e.g., NONMEM, R)
*Basic knowledge in non-linear mixed effect modelling and biostatistics
*Basic knowledge in clinical pharmacology and model informed drug discovery=
 and development

Eligibility Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction=
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
