Your role:
One of your main tasks is the global support of the the Quantitative Pharma=
cology department within Global Early Development. You provide M&S input in=
to Clinical Development Plans and participate to sound translational scienc=
e, from animal to healthy subjects, to patients, to special populations. Fu=
rthermore you plan, perform, interpret, present, track and record M&S-relat=
ed activities within allocated projects and studies.Your tasks include deve=
loping of internal expertise in advanced population PKPD modeling, with emp=
hasis on physiological and mechanistic approaches. You Keep up-to-date with=
 scientific development in M&S, and regulatory guidance and trends. You exp=
lore, evaluate and implement appropriate pharmacometric tools and methodolo=
gies; participate to the improvement of the M&S processes and technological=
In your function as Pharmacometrician (m/f) you will represent the whole of=
 Quantitative Pharmacology in transactions with internal and external stake=
Who you are:

  * Master or PhD in Clinical Sciences related disciplines (Medicine, Phy=
siology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, etc) and strong expertise in Pharmacometr=
ics/biostatistics. Alternatively, degree in Mathematics/Statistics and stro=
ng experience in clinical development with 3+ years experience in PKPD Mode=
ling, of which 1+ in BioPharmaceutical Industry and knowledge of PKPD M&S i=
nput into drug development
  * Good command of NONMEM and R is an absolute prerequisite, experience =
with MONOLIX is an asset.
  * Experience with PsN and Xpose is an asset; as well as experience with=
 Clinical Trial Simulation tools, alike for other analytical/modeling/optim=
ization/presentation software or language, e.g. ADAPT, SAAM II, BERKELEY MA=
DONA, SIMCYP. Also experience in writing and using PKPD models, particularl=
y mechanistic-models and in developing disease progression models is an ass=
  * Fluent in written and oral English and fluency in other European lang=
uages, particularly French or German, is an asset
  * Strong problem solving skills and ability to analyze complex problems
  * Interest in, and knowledge of, both mathematical and (patho-)physiolo=
gical aspects of M&S in drug development
  * Enthusiastic, self-motivated and has good communication skills, and a=
t ease in working in a dynamic matrix organization; is a team-player. Commu=
nicate technical details effectively with scientists and clinicians colleag=
