Your role:
One of your main tasks is the global support of the Quantitative Pharmacolo=
gy department within Global Early Development. You provide M&S input into C=
linical Development Plans and participate to sound translational science, f=
rom animal to healthy subjects, to patients, to special populations. Furthe=
rmore you plan, perform, interpret, present, track and record M&S-related a=
ctivities within allocated projects and studies. Your tasks include develop=
ing of internal expertise in advanced population PKPD modeling, with emphas=
is on physiological and mechanistic approaches. You Keep up-to-date with sc=
ientific development in M&S, and regulatory guidance and trends. You explor=
e, evaluate and implement appropriate pharmacometric tools and methodologie=
s; participate to the improvement of the M&S processes and technological pl=
atform. In your function as Pharmacometrician (m/f) you will represent the =
whole of Quantitative Pharmacology in transactions with internal and extern=
al stakeholders.
Who you are:
* Master or PhD in Clinical Sciences related disciplines (Medicine,=
 Physiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, etc) and strong expertise in Pharmaco=
metrics/biostatistics. Alternatively, degree in Mathematics/Statistics and =
strong experience in clinical development with 3+ years' experience in PKPD=
 Modeling, of which 1+ in BioPharmaceutical Industry and knowledge of PKPD =
M&S input into drug development
* Good command of NONMEM and R is an absolute prerequisite, experie=
nce with MONOLIX is an asset.
* Experience with PsN and Xpose is an asset; as well as experience =
with Clinical Trial Simulation tools, alike for other analytical/modeling/o=
ptimization/presentation software or language, e.g. ADAPT, SAAM II, BERKELE=
Y MADONA. Also experience in writing and using PKPD models, particularly me=
chanistic-models and in developing disease progression models is an asset.
* Fluent in written and oral English and fluency in other European =
languages, particularly French or German, is an asset.
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to analyze complex prob=
* Interest in, and knowledge of, both mathematical and (patho-)phys=
iological aspects of M&S in drug development.
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated and has good communication skills, a=
nd at ease in working in a dynamic matrix organization; is a team-player. C=
ommunicate technical details effectively with scientists and clinicians col=
