F, full time, post-doctoral associate in Pharmacometrics. The start date wi=
ll be March 2017.
Department: Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology (CPSP) at O=
rlando, FL, University of Florida
Faculty member: Dr. Sihem Bihorel. MS., PharmD., PhD
Position description: The CPSP at Orlando, FL, in collaboration with Pharma=
ceutical indusrty is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and energetic po=
st-doctoral associate with expertise in mathematical modeling and simulatio=
n. The aim of the project is the development of a new mathematical model ai=
ming at understanding a drug mechanism of action in the field of immuno-onc=
ology. Progress in this area will have not only fundamental scientific impa=
ct but also accrue immediate, broad practical benefits for the discovery of=
new therapeutic agents and biomarkers.
During the two years training at the CPSP, the post-doctoral candidate will=
have the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience in:
* Development and qualification of pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmac=
odynamic (PD) models
* Development and evaluation of numerical and computational methods=
for pharmacometrics data analysis
* Development and qualification of visualization tools in pharmacom=
etrics.
* Report within the project in terms of written reports/publication=
s and oral presentations
Qualifications required:
The ideal candidate should have:
* A doctoral degree (PhD) in Pharmacometrics, Pharmaceutics, System=
s Biology/Pharmacology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computational Bio=
logy, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Theoritical Biology, or related q=
uantitative data-heavy discipline.
* Handling of one or more of pharmacometrics softwares: R, MATLAB, =
Monolix, NONMEM, Phoenix ...etc.
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
* Skillful English writing ability with first author publications i=
n peer reviewed journals.
* Strong oral communication skills.
* Interest in pursuing a career in Pharmacometrics, and/or clinical=
pharmacology
