Position: Post-doctoral Associate in Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacolo=
gy

Position description: The CPSP in Lake Nona (Orlando, FL) in collaboration =
with Bohringer Ingelheim is offering a two years, full time, post-doctoral =
associate position in clinical pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) an=
d quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP).

This position starts immediately and focuses on the application of QSP with=
 population PK/PD analysis and disease progression modeling in the area of =
exposure-response of novel oral anticoagulants and their management using c=
ombination therapies with reversal agents.
During the two years training at the CPSP, the post-doctoral candidate will=
 have the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience in:

* Population PK/PD and complex mechanism-based modeling of biotechnol=
ogy and small molecule drugs

* Development and qualification of QSP models and bridging these mode=
ls to clinical PK/PD and disease progression models

* Development and evaluation of the advanced numerical and computatio=
nal methods for population PK/PD data analysis

* Development and qualification of novel PK/PD visualization tools fo=
r QSP and population PK/PD analyses.

* Disease progression and risk prediction modeling for patients with =
bleeding disorders

* Report within the project in terms of written reports/publications =
and oral presentations

Qualifications required: An ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree (Ph=
D) in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacometrics (PK/PD), Systems biology/pharmacology,=
 Statistics, applied Mathematics with an interest in pursuing a career in c=
linical pharmacology and/or pharmacometrics & QSP. The candidate must have =
experience with population PK/PD modeling software applications such as NON=
MEM and or Monolix, have programming experience with R and or SAS, is acqua=
inted with MATLAB, have experience in analyzing data describing biologic or=
 PK/PD systems using a non-linear mixed effects modeling approaches, an und=
erstanding of PK and PD theory, particularly as pertaining to biologic agen=
ts will be advantageous.
