Description:
Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking two talented and innovative Inter=
ns to join our Pharmacometrics Group located at our Ridgefield, CT facility=
. As an Intern, you will be assigned to your own pharmacometrics project an=
d work under the supervision of an experienced pharmacometrician. The proje=
ct scope includes but is not limited to performing hands-on pharmacometrics=
 analysis in NONMEM and R based on pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokineti=
c/pharmacodynamic data and collaborating with other stakeholders in drug de=
velopment. Ideally, the project results in a poster presentation or publica=
tion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  * Develop and qualify PK, PKPD and/or disease progression models includ=
ing data set preparation and post-processing of software output
  * Perform literature research to support model development and qualific=
ation
  * Present project results and conclusions to Global Pharmacometrics Gro=
up and other stakeholders
  * Summarize project results and conclusions in internal report and/or e=
xternal poster/publication
Requirements:

  * Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good a=
cademic standing.
  * Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or oth=
er related coursework.
  * Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at leas=
t 3.200 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
  * Major must be related to the field of internship.
Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  * Hands-on experience in pharmacometrics software packages (e.g., NONME=
M, R)
  * Basic knowledge in non-linear mixed effect modelling and biostatistic=
s
  * Basic knowledge in clinical pharmacology and model informed drug disc=
overy and development
Eligibility Requirements:

  * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restr=
iction.
  * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including ve=
rification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational backg=
round
  * Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if requi=
red)
  * Must be 18 years of age or older
