Pharmacometrics Summer Intern-1815175
Description:

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern =
to join our Pharmacometrics Group located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. A=
s an Intern, you will be assigned to your own pharmacometrics project and w=
ork under the supervision of an experienced pharmacometrician. The project =
scope includes but is not limited to performing hands-on pharmacometrics an=
alysis in NONMEM and R based on pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokinetic/p=
harmacodymanic data and collaborating with other stakeholders in drug devel=
opment. Ideally, the project results in a poster presentation or publicatio=
n.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Develop and qualify PK, PKPD and/or disease progression models incl=
uding data set preparation and post-processing of software output

* Perform literature research to support model development and qualif=
ication

* Present project results and conclusions to Global Pharmacometrics G=
roup and other stakeholders

* Summarize project results and conclusions in internal report and/or=
 external poster/publication

Requirements:

* Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good=
 academic standing.

* Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or o=
ther related coursework.

* Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at le=
ast 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).

* Major must be related to the field of internship.


Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

* Hands-on experience in pharmacometrics software packages (e.g., NON=
MEM, R)

* Basic knowledge in non-linear mixed effect modelling and biostatist=
ics

* Basic knowledge in clinical pharmacology and model informed drug di=
scovery and development

Eligibility Requirements:


* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without res=
triction.

* Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if req=
uired)

* Must be 18 years of age or older
